This policy explains how ERROR TECHNOLOGIES handles information in THAAD and on thaad.app. It describes the app’s current functionality.

1. Files and information on your device

THAAD stores imported, created and downloaded files in its local app storage, together with file organization information, unfinished saves and preferences. Browser tabs, tab-preview images, bookmarks, quick links, history and website settings are stored separately from your saved file library. Watch Later stores video identifiers, optional titles and the date each entry was added on your device. We do not operate a cloud sync or upload service for your THAAD file library.

Files and other app data may be included in backups managed by iOS, depending on your device and backup settings. If you export or share something, the destination you select receives that copy and handles it under its own policies.

THAAD keeps cumulative foreground-use time and whether it should avoid another automatic rating request in local app preferences. This helps time one native rating request after 15 minutes of active use. Background time does not count. These rating preferences are not sent to diagnostics or Firebase and do not record whether you submitted a rating. Apple controls its rating interface and handles ratings under its own policies.

2. Websites, downloads and online tools

When you open a website, search, sign in to a website or download content, your device communicates with the relevant website, search provider and other services used by that page. They may receive your IP address, request information and information you choose to provide. Browsing can store cookies and other website data on your device. Those services have their own privacy policies. Playing a Watch Later entry streams from its video provider and can load that provider’s player and artwork. The provider receives the video request and related network information.

Content-blocking updates contact the configured filter providers, including resources hosted by GitHub, Adblock Plus and EasyList, to retrieve filter lists. Those providers receive network request information. You can manage automatic filter updates in Privacy & Blocking. Blocking does not guarantee that every tracker or request is prevented.

When you start Internet Speed Test, your device exchanges generated test data with speed.cloudflare.com to measure download and upload speed, latency and jitter. Cloudflare receives your connection’s IP address and test requests. The test does not request GPS location, upload your saved files or send the measurements to THAAD’s backend. Results remain in memory for the current session; THAAD does not keep a results history. Testing stops when you leave the tool or the app enters the background.

When you tap Listen in Music Recognition, THAAD uses your microphone with your permission and Apple’s ShazamKit to identify nearby music. Audio signatures are sent to Shazam for matching; THAAD does not send microphone recordings or your saved files to its own backend. THAAD does not save recordings, keep a recognition history or add matches to your Shazam library. Capture ends after a match, Stop, the attempt timeout, leaving the screen or app inactivity. Opening an Apple Music result contacts that service. Searching for a matched song sends its available title and artist to an external video service in THAAD Browser. Each service handles those requests under its own policies.

3. Browser data controls

Browser tabs and their website data are restored when THAAD restarts. You can close individual tabs, clear history separately, and clear browsing data from Settings → Privacy & Blocking.

Clearing browsing data closes all browser tabs and removes history, cookies and cache. It may sign you out of websites. Bookmarks, Watch Later entries and files you deliberately saved remain until you remove them. Watch Later has its own removal controls.

4. Device permissions

THAAD uses iOS permission controls for camera, microphone and photo access, and location requested by websites while you use them. Permissions are requested when the relevant feature needs them. You choose which files or photos to import through system pickers, and you can change granted permissions in iOS Settings. A website receiving camera, microphone or location access handles that information under its own policy.

For playback coordination, THAAD observes whether a phone call is active so that playback can be interrupted appropriately. It does not retain phone numbers or call history.

5. App diagnostics and ratings

The manual Rate THAAD action uses your App Store storefront to request public THAAD listing information from Apple. Apple receives the app identifier, storefront country and network request information, including your IP address. These requests do not include your browsing history, cookies or saved files. Opening the App Store or submitting a rating uses Apple’s services and policies.

THAAD automatically collects crash reports and general app usage through Firebase Crashlytics and Google Analytics when the app starts. There are no in-app diagnostics switches.

Firebase Crashlytics receives technical crash information and selected nonfatal error codes to help us investigate failures and monitor release stability. Reports use app, operating-system and device information, installation/session identifiers and technical request information.

Google Analytics measures general app lifecycle and engagement events and a small set of feature interactions, such as opening Files, Tools or Settings. Reports can include app/device information, language, approximate country and an app-instance identifier. Advertising-identifier and vendor-identifier collection, advertising consent and automatic screen reporting are disabled.

Our app-defined events and error reports do not include website addresses, searches, browsing history, cookies, video identifiers, file names, file paths, file contents or website pages, actions or content. We do not upload your Files library or assign your name or email address to these reports. SDK services still use their own technical identifiers; diagnostics are not a claim of complete anonymity.

Reports can be queued locally and sent when a connection is available. The Firebase privacy information below describes the provider’s data processing and retention.

THAAD does not include an advertising SDK or an operational VPN service.

6. This website and support requests

This website is hosted using Google Firebase Hosting. The site does not include advertising, analytics scripts, contact forms or tracking cookies. The hosting provider receives technical request information, including your IP address, to deliver and protect the website. Google describes its handling of Hosting IP data and retention of that data for a few months in the Firebase privacy documentation.

If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use that information to respond and investigate your request. Support correspondence is kept only as long as needed to handle the request and meet applicable obligations; you can contact us to request its deletion. Please do not send sensitive files, passwords or unnecessary personal information.

7. Retention, deletion and your choices

Saved files remain in local storage until you remove them. Moving an item to Trash retains it for recovery; permanent deletion removes it from the active library. Review unfinished saves, text drafts and saved-file sizes in Settings → Storage & Recovery. Bookmarks, Watch Later, history and website data have separate controls. Clearing browsing data does not erase your saved files or Watch Later list.

Deleting the app removes its local app container. Copies you exported, device backups and information held by websites are separate and must be managed with the relevant destination or provider. We cannot remotely recover or erase files stored only on your device.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. Contact support@thaad.app with a request. We may ask for information needed to verify and handle it.

8. Children and security

We do not knowingly request personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us, contact support@thaad.app so we can review and address it.

THAAD relies on iOS app storage and system permission controls. Protect your device and keep independent backups of important files. No storage or communication method can be guaranteed completely secure.

9. Updates and contact

We may update this policy as the app and our practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
